Course Description

The course's impeccable pkeep makes San Loenzo a true pearl of Portuguese golf.  It's 18 holes run past pine trees, lakes and the beautiful beaches of the Algarve coast.  Situated in Quinta do Lago and forming part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park,the course is demanding and imaginative.  It opens with an almost unachievable par 4 and continues to the three following holes along rolling, pine-fringed fairways.  It is from the 5th hole however, that this course offers the most extraordinary and stunning views over the beach.  At the 8th, the course turns back inland and faces the larges of its two lakes.  For the last four holes, the course again turns seawaards and finishes with a par 4 whose small green is surrounded by the waters of the second lake waiting for the inaccurate shot.  Pine forest, water and good hole layout provides the hazards that play a big part in players having to select clubs and hit with care.  A remarkable end to this remarkable course.
