Description
A unique 19th century farmhouse enjoying stunning views down to the ocean, that has been loving restored and retains many original features. There is a large heatable swimming pool, hot tub, children's playground and extensive landscaped gardens. Ideal for smaller families or couples. A real home from home. Casa do Forno is a charming one bedroom cottage that has been tastefully decorated in traditional Algarvian style, but with modern facilities and fully equipped with linen, towels, bathrobes for adults, cutlery and crockery. The living room offers radio/CD player and MP3 reader, there is an open plan rustic kitchen area with microwave, oven and fridge. Stairs lead to the double bedroom and sitting area and the cottage also enjoys a shower room. The accommodation also supplies a hair dryer, alarm clock, iron and ironing board. To keep everyone entertained there is a selection of puzzles, chess set, dominos, cards and an incredible library of books to read.
The cottage is cool and airy in summer and during the cooler months, there is winter heating in the form of an oil filled radiator, winter-weight duvets and a log burning fire, logs for which can be purchased at a small charge.
Outside there is a private south facing terrace a barbecue area, dining table and chairs. Beyond is the swimming pool (heated in winter) surrounded by sun terrace, hot tub and extensive landscaped gardens with children’s play area.
Extra facilities available (some against a small charge) include laundry service, dressing gowns (for adults) and pool towels (but please bring your own beach towels). It is requested that guests do not smoke within the cottage and beause of the rustic stairs, the cottage is not considered suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
