Description

Quinta do Lago is the most sought-after area of the Algarve and at it's heart, in a prime location overlooking the lake, can be found this stunning 6/7 bedroom villa.  Occupying a double plot and approached from a winding drive, this comprehensive villa enjoys lawned areas for children to play, a very splendid heatable swimming pool, tropical-style summerhouse, covered dining terrace, substantial sun terrace and a jetty into the lake.  It is generously proportioned throughout and benefits from insect screens, air conditioning and heating, making it an ideal family holiday villa at any time of the year. 

Specification

The imposing fitted kitchen is accessed from the extensive entrance lobby (with guest cloakroom).  The kitchen contains an American-style ‘fridge/freezer; oven and hob with extractor fan over;  central preparation area and many work surfaces as well as ample kitchen equipment to allow for grand entertaining or family meals.   Leading off the kitchen is an entrance to the dining room.  Another door gives access to a small yard to dry/air laundry and a further door goes to the large utility room which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.  Also found in this area are two double bedrooms, ideal for teenagers who may arrive home late in the evening; grandparents who prefer a little more privacy or nannies.   One bedroom has an en-suite shower room, the other an en-suite bathroom.  Both overlook the garden to the lake.

Accessed from an inner hall (off the entrance lobby) is the majestic living room which has a family-size sofa and numerous comfortable chairs as well as a small breakfast/writing table with 4 chairs.  Two sets of sliding doors give access to an L-shaped covered terrace and the garden beyond.   An archway leads to the separate dining room with table and chairs to seat 14.  A door from the living room leads to the study/television room/7th bedroom with satellite television and small double bed.  Adjacent can be found a second cloakroom and beyond is a gymnasium (clients use at their own discretion, the villa owner, management company and property rental agents cannot accept responsibility for any injuries incurred).

A corridor from the inner hall leads to two further bedrooms.  The first is a pretty twin bedroom with four-poster beds draped with mosquito nets.  The bedroom has the benefit of an en-suite bathroom and sliding doors leading to a private terrace.  The second bedroom is an impressive double bedded room with en-suite bathroom and doors giving access to a private terrace. 

Stairs from the inner hall lead to two further bedrooms.  The first is a distinguished double bedroom with doors leading to the large sun terrace.  It enjoys an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and separate shower as well as a dressing room. The second is a striking double bedroom with sliding doors leading to the sun terrace, a dressing area and en-suite bathroom.  From the double bed, looking out of the picture window, you can enjoy the pleasure of the most outstanding view across the lake.

Outside can be found the pretty and private landscaped gardens, which offer large lawns for children to play.  The huge, green-tiled swimming pool can be heated against a supplement and there is a beautiful brick built, tropical-style summer house where it would be possible to seat and read in tranquillity or perhaps entertain in a lavish fashion.  The L-shaped covered terrace around the villa also has a dining area with dining table and chairs as well as a significant seating area.  The massive first floor sun terrace enjoys breath-taking views across the lake and out to the ocean.
