Description

Quinta da Passarada is a thoughtful and beautifully converted single-storey farmhouse with a self-contained annex.  It is set in a rural location, next to the Rio Formosa National Park, but not isolated, offering peace and tranquility as well as all the modern conveniences.  The farmhouse is furnished to an unusually high standard.

You enter the main house through the cool, tiled-floored hall which gives access to the spacious living/dining room that is furnished in a modern style, complimenting the old restored features of the farmhouse.  The living/dining room area contains a fireplace, satellite television and a music system.

There are French doors in the living room that open onto a covered terrace that has a large dining table with chairs to seat 10, as well as a sitting area.

The terrace looks towards the courtyard and there are steps that lead down to the pool.  (The pool can be heated against a supplement.)  The large kitchen is very well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, hob and oven as well as the original fireplace.

There is an extra refrigerator in one of the outbuildings.  There are three bedrooms in the main house.  The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with an en-suite bathroom and the other two bedrooms have twin beds that can be made into superking sized beds, if requested.  One of the twin bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and the other has a shower room adjacent to it.  The farmhouse enjoys central heating for the cooler months and fans in the summer.  There is also a safe and security system and attractive barred windows.

The annex is detached from the main farmhouse by the courtyard and entrance walkway and consists of a large bedroom with twin beds that can be made into a superking bed.  There is a living/dining area with sofa bed, chairs and dining table.  The kitchen has a hob and refrigerator.  There is a fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage in the house.  There is a shower room with a toilet and hand basin.  The annex can be heated.

A car parking area is to the side of the annex and to the back of the farmhouse.  There is a gazebo with a barbecue in the gardens.  A small playhouse for children is by the pool as well as another barbecue.

From 26 June to 04 September pool heating is run against a supplement of £130 per week, at all other times the supplement is £190 a week. 

Heating is the house is run against a supplement of £140 a week

Air conditioning  is run against a supplement of £225 a week (plus an additional £45 a week when the cottage is occupied)

1 or 2 extra children can be accommodated on the sofabed in the cottage at a cost of £40 a week.
