Quinta Fernando is a beautiful, farmhouse style, modern property, nestled into the hills in a rural setting, with stunning views and only a 5 minute drive from the local town of Santa Barbara de Nexe. This property is only a 25 minute drive to the main coastal resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, enabling you to relax in your hidden Algarve retreat whilst still having easy access to the busier coastal resorts.

Quinta Fernando is a perfect family home, for those looking for a more peaceful holiday. As you approach the villa up the driveway of the 7000 sqm plot, you are surrounded by the lush fruit trees ranging from Olives, fig, small lemon trees, avocado and many more. The villa has been personally designed by the family, with children and luxury living in mind. They have managed to maintain the traditional Portuguese rustic style, whilst adding fine furnishings to enable modern living.

On the ground floor, you have a comfortable living room, with 2 large sofas, LED TV, Apple TV and a selection of board games for the family to enjoy. There is a large dining table to seat 8. The kitchen is one of the main highlights of this villa, with a further dining table seating 8 people for family breakfasts, with views across the hills and French doors opening on to the terrace with seating area where you can enjoy the views. The large, modern kitchen itself is fully fitted, well equipped and very practical for family living. There are 2 large fridges, freezer, oven, microwave, coffee machine, induction hob, boiling water tap and even an ice cream maker! There is a separate cloakroom on the ground floor.

On this floor you will also find 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1: Super king bed (180) fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers en-suite with shower and storage. Bedroom 2: Super king (180) splitable into 2 singles with a wardrobe, small shower. Bedroom 3 king (160), walk in wardrobe, patio doors leading to small outside seating area. Large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.

On the first floor you will find a further suite with a wardrobe which has an ensuite bathroom and stunning views across the hills. Please note that this bedroom has a steep staircase and is not suitable for young children or those with mobility issues.

Outside, you’ll find a 10 x 5m saltwater swimming pool, which can be heated for an additional charge. The pool features a safety cover, offering peace of mind for families with young children. The property is thoughtfully equipped for younger guests, with a table tennis table, a small football net on the large lawn and a 14ft trampoline. Adults are equally well catered for, with everything needed for a truly relaxing holiday: an outdoor fridge, a choice of several seating areas offering uninterrupted views across the hills, a charcoal Big Green Egg BBQ and a gas Weber for flexible cooking, an indoor sound system with outdoor speakers, and shaded pergolas to escape the midday sun. On the main terrace, you’ll find a large outdoor dining table under a pergola, with seating for eight—perfect for alfresco meals with family and friends. There is also a second covered pergola just behind the kitchen, complete with an electric heater, providing a cosy spot to enjoy the evenings. The local tennis club, Quinta das Raposeiras, which is only a 5 minute drive away from the villa, runs a kids club during the summer months. Run by local, Angelo for many years. There are 3 tennis courts and 2 padel courts.

You can walk to the wonderful restaurant, Le Marquis, where you will find a very warm and friendly service and some fabulous fresh produce cooked by chef Vincent. The village of Santa Barbara de Nexe is only a 5 minute drive, where you will find some more lovely restaurants to try and a very traditional Portuguese lifestyle to discover.
