The beautiful Villa Caroline, set in landscaped grounds, on a very private plot on the Pinherios Altos estate, Quinta do Lago. With an unbeatable location and absolute luxury throughout, this villa really does provide the perfect holiday home.

Approached through electric gates, Villa Caroline has parking for several cars and two under cover.

On the entering the house there is a large hallway with stairs to the upper floor and leading directly to the living room which opens on to a large terrace, where half is covered and extra shade is provided by electric awnings.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms suites, both rooms have twin beds which can be zipped together to form super king beds. The smaller bedroom has a large en-suite shower room with twin basins and walk in shower and a private terrace which over looks the garden. The larger room’s en-suite has a full bath (with hand held shower) and a separate walk in shower. Also twin basins and separate toilet. This room also has a very large terrace overlooking the garden, for you to enjoy the stunning views. This is furnished with sunbeds, and swing seat, plus a small table and chairs.

On the landing separating the two bedrooms is a seating area with Smart TV and a desk area with printer. WI-FI is available throughout the house. This seating area is cooled by a large fan.

There is also access to a private terrace with sunbeds to enjoy a private escape.

On the ground floor there are two more bedrooms.  One has a super king size bed, with en-suite shower room and a private terrace leading to the garden. The other bedroom is the master bedroom and bathroom with full size bath and separate shower. There are also twin basins and a television at the end of the bath. This bedroom leads on to another private terrace.

On the ground floor the living room is spacious and equipped with a Bang & Olsen sound system. There is very comfortable seating for ten. The dining room which leads through to the kitchen/ family room has a circular table – which seats ten.

The kitchen, always the heart of the home. It a chef’s dream!  This is a bespoke kitchen – with a range from Lacanche which is mains gas on top and electric oven. Separately there is a grill and rotisserie. The kitchen also has a professional Convotherm oven which is computer controlled and perfectly cooks based on steam and heat. For simple cooking there is also a microwave! Made to measure refrigerator drawers and freezer, boiled and cold water instantly available and those who need coffee we have a DeLonghi coffee machine which grinds the beans freshly for each cup, and of course a milk heater/frother.

Off the main kitchen there is a prep kitchen which has a professional ice machine and an American style fridge freezer which dispenses iced water. There are two Bosch dishwashers. Professional and amateur chefs will simply LOVE this kitchen!!

Also off the kitchen is a laundry room – with Miele washing machine which automatically dispenses detergent according to program selected and a separate Meile tumble dryer.

In the snug area of the kitchen there is a comfortable sofa and chairs, one reclining – ideal for afternoon siesta, away from the sun – there is a Smart TV here. Also on the ground floor is a guest toilet.

On the terrace there is a comfortable seating area with a fan and heaters should the evening get chilly. There is also a built in drinks fridges. There is a main table for 8 to 10 guests. Another table in a separate part of the terrace table seats 6.  There is a lockable gate leading to wide stairs to the pool basement area.

The basement is a self contained unit, but is also an integral part of the house.  It has a separate keypad access. Here there is a kitchen – oven / hob / microwave/ dishwasher /refrigerator which services the pool area too. There is a large shower room, with toilet and basin.

There is a newly decorated suite – a bedroom which has twin beds which can be zipped together to form a Super king and a new shower room. This bedroom also has a smart TV.

In the seating area doors open to the pool terrace and another terrace with electric awnings and a comfortable shaded seating area.

In this area there is a pool table and dart board. Also a separate cinema room which has  comfortable reclining chairs for 6, but can accommodate 8 easily. It is a Bose sound system in here and also has a Smart TV with DVD and CD attached and a turntable  to play vinyl records.

For table tennis enthusiasts there is also a outdoor table, which can be erected when needed

This whole area, will be enjoyed by all but is also ideal for those looking for privacy, from the main home. There is no access directly from the house.

The Saltwater pool is approx 12m long by 6m wide, and can be heated. Lots of sun terraces and loungers and a lovely seating corner too, plus a large covered barbecue area with a table for 8 to 10 guests.  In the barbecue area there is a XL Green Egg plus a wood burning oven for pizzas and other cooking. The grounds and pool are all lit up at night, making this the perfect place to entertain or simply wind down and enjoy some family time.

Individual air conditioning unfits through out the house and additionally a large ceiling fan in the snug area. The upstairs snug area does not have air conditioning but a large fan, cools the area. Windows and doors are all fitted with fly screens.
